This cottage is very rustic, having been carefully moved from the Johnson farm on Hwy 78 West to this property. It had been home to those who helped the Johnsons tend their farm back in the 1940s, and it has been restored to its original look.

A cozy, comfortable space, it's perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway.

Treats and drinks in the kitchen are yours to enjoy after arriving at the cottage.

In the bathroom, a claw foot tub awaits your use and feels like a reminder of days spent at Grandma's house or as though you may have traveled way back in time to another era!

In the evenings, enjoy some peaceful time on the porch. There's no internet service at the cottage, so you can truly unplug and unwind during your stay!

Also on Wisteria property is a "tiny house" shed apartment. As you continue on around the corner from the cottage, you will find tucked in the woods, this apartment. Which was moved about 2mi. down the road form the Blackville Farmers Market, where it served as the "buyers shed" in the 60's, Alvin remembers it being a booming place as a young person, when Blackville was watermelon capital , loading out as many as 100 semi's full of watermelon a day. All farmers large and small brought all melons there to sell.
After farmers started having sheds on their farms and the small guys passed on, the shed were no longer needed, and they fell in disrepair, with vegetation, shrubs, trees, growing up around them. Meanwhile they were wasting away and we tried to get permission to move "2", but the process was delayed many times, till finally all had to be torn down but this one, piece of history.

As soon as we had it moved, Alvin and our son, put a new tin roof on and we started the renovations, with an added bathroom. To have this quiet place to reflect and enjoy the beauty of nature. I have tried to keep the feel of the 50's and 60's as I have decorated and fixed up the inside.
As we share this 1 bedroom with queen size bed, small sitting area, kitchen with a microwave, burner, coffee pot, sink and small frig along with combined heat and air unit and a old fashioned style tub/shower, with you we hope, you truly can say it was good "to come apart and rest awhile."
